We had fun going out to dinner and to the movie. We went to see Sully. It was a very moving movie and I totally enjoyed it. They did a great job portraying the emotions the situation of landing a plane in the Hudson river would create. It shows the legal process that followed. Totally enjoyed it and it was wonderful to watch it in the theater with the recliner chairs! After dinner, we went to Kyoto Japanese Restaurant. I asked for a Japanese table. It's been a few years since I've been there and my legs don't work exactly as well as they used too. Seeing Fritz and I try to get into the booth and down in the hole much have been quite a sight. But I thorough enjoy the Japanese tables and it makes it feel special to me and we did it. That is what counts right?

Fritz surprised me a few weeks ago and invited me to go on a cruise with him for his birthday. We decided to go to the Western Caribbean out of Galveston in a few weeks. It will be very nice to have time together without distraction. I think it will be good for us. We will be going to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica. Can you believe I am going to Jamaica again?? We are still trying to figure out of we can make it off the ship. We both have pretty big mobility challenges with that. We will be cruising with Royal Caribbean and we've been working with their access desk to see what we can work out. We will figure it out. We are leaving soon and I'm getting very excited.
I still have the foster kittens. They are still sick. I pushed myself into the vet last Friday because they all have goopey eyes now. But they said it is still the virus they've had since I got them. 2 of them are big enough to neuter but they didn't have any appointments left for this week and they don't like to do it while they are sick. Since they've been sick for a few weeks, I am not sure what I can do about that. But I keep putting the antibiotics in their eyes and it doesn't seem they are getting worse which is good. The biggest issue is trying to control contamination to my cats. The process and procedures is very time consuming and takes a ton of time and energy. It is exhausting. I admit I've not held these kittens much and really limit my time with them to reduce risk of bringing to my cats. And you can tell. These kittens are like wild animals. Fritz loves kitties so I suited him up and brought him in to meet them. I think he was quite overwhelmed as they are nuts. He called them "convict kitties" because they are rough and eat like they are starving and will never be fed again! He is right. They are like that. Needless to say, he wasn't wanting to spend more time with them. I feel bad I haven't been able to socialize them well. At least they will have got a month out of a kennel and hopefully got some stimulation. I turn them all in next Monday. Hopefully they will all be ready for spay or neuter. I'll feed them like crazy and see if they can make the weight goal. One is quite small and might not but I will turn him in anyway. I'll try with a new litter after my travels.
In addition to the cruise, I am headed to Baltimore and North Carolina in November. I am going for another follow up with Johns Hopkins and then over to the beach scrapbooking retreat with Nola. It has become quite a fun tradition.
Seems like things are very busy and before I know it, it will be the holidays!!! Where did summer go??
