Senior Photos

I missed the boat.  All summer long, I was curious what was going on with Senior photos.  I knew they needed photos early for the year book but I didn't know the plan and neither did Philip's social media friends.  So we showed up to registration and took photos there.  Did I tell this story?  Because it is ridiculous.  They line up the seniors and for the men, they had a tuxedo shirt dickie and a tuxedo jacket.  Of course it was about 100 degrees so Philip was in shorts.  He lined up for the "dickie photo".  You have to pick your "shot" and order photos before you can see them.  So when Philip proudly brought home his photo package I purchased, it was almost hilarious.  Yes he is a handsome devil and yes he had some great photos.  But one of the photo "shots" I picked was a longer pose.  So here it comes.....a photo of the shirt dickie and jacket...and shorts with a plaid shirt hanging out the bottom.  Pretty funny.  Seriously!

Anyway, I had visions of getting some "real" senior photos of Philip.  So I asked around and found a guy that specializes in "natural" photo shoots.  Yes he does studio shoots but his favorite is doing location shoots.  This was perfect for me because I had my heart set on an urban setting. So we picked a date and headed downtown to Exchange Place.  We pass this place all the time but I saw it in a whole new light.  He had Philip running all over in front of different buildings and stairwells and in front of graffiti, and in window ledges.  I sat and froze my ass off waiting patiently.

I'm still anxiously waiting for the photos.  In fact, I called today.  He said they were looking fantastic and he was still working on editing them so we don't have them yet but I should have them soon.  The cool thing about this photographer is you own the images. So we can print to our hearts content anywhere we want.

Here are a few photos I took through the process.

Look at this cool architecture!  This is the Boston Building.

My freezing feet...on the street.

Part of Philip's shoot.  How artistic!
I will post some from the photographer when I get them.  I can't wait.  It is like waiting for Christmas!!
